While Unity has made every developers life easier, with not having to deal with the low-level optimizations and the very specific hardware configurations. Some developers revel in the challenges that a very difficult development environment provides. Matt Phillips is one of those developers, choosing to develop on the Sega Mega drive with the original development tools provided at the time. The graphics look impressive for a 16-bit title, and I hope Phillips finds any audience of retro-gaming enthusiasts. I am sure he will more likely find success in the PC port (or maybe someday iOS).
